Strengthening India-US Energy Partnership: Key Meeting Between Sergio Gore and Hardeep Singh Puri

New Delhi, April 15: The US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gore, held a significant meeting with Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. The discussion focused on enhancing the India-US energy partnership, boosting energy security, and exploring new development opportunities.

In a post on X, Ambassador Gore stated, “I had a wonderful meeting with Minister Hardeep Singh Puri to advance the US-India energy partnership. We discussed strengthening energy security and opening new avenues for growth. Expanding access to reliable US energy will deepen our economic ties and promote long-term energy security and diversification for both countries.”

Minister Hardeep Singh Puri also highlighted the meaningful discussions held during his meeting with Ambassador Gore. He emphasized the need to reinforce bilateral energy cooperation and explore ways to strengthen their extensive energy relations.

In a post on the social media platform X, Minister Puri expressed his pleasure in welcoming Ambassador Gore to his office. He noted, “We had meaningful discussions on bilateral energy cooperation and deliberated on ways to further strengthen our comprehensive energy relations.”

Just a day prior, during a conversation, Ambassador Gore hinted at significant decisions that could soon emerge to strengthen India-US relations. He mentioned that news could be expected in the coming days, although he could not provide further details at this time.

Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a call from US President Donald Trump. Both leaders discussed the situation in West Asia and ways to enhance India-US relations.
