Sixth China International Consumer Products Expo Concludes in Hainan

Beijing, April 19: The sixth China International Consumer Products Expo (Hainan Expo) concluded on April 18 in Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province. According to the organizers, the event set new records in total visitor numbers, daily attendance, exhibition area, and the proportion of international displays, showcasing the robust vitality and openness of China’s consumer market.

This year’s Hainan Expo featured a total exhibition area of 143,000 square meters, an increase of 13,000 square meters compared to the previous session. A total of 3,413 consumer brands from 67 countries and regions participated, with international displays making up 65 percent, marking a significant 20 percentage point increase from last year.

Visitor participation was exceptionally high, with over 340,000 attendees throughout the event. On April 18 alone, more than 60,000 visitors were recorded at the main venue, setting historical records for both total attendance and single-day numbers.

During the expo, organizers conducted 10 matchmaking events to establish efficient collaboration between supply and demand.

Additionally, this year’s consumer expo hosted a total of 67 major events, including 11 official programs and 56 supporting activities. Eleven industry reports on the consumer sector were also released.

Professionals attending the expo noted that despite increasing global uncertainties, the consumer products expo continues to expand year after year. It consistently attracts international brands for their initial launches, unveilings, and displays. Notably, this year’s expo showcased a significant number of new products, clearly reflecting the growing importance of the Chinese consumer market to international brands.
