Stars Gather for Peace Meeting in Memory of Actor Pradeep Rawat

Mumbai, August 8: Veteran actor Pradeep Rawat, renowned for his memorable performances in Bollywood films like “Lagaan” and “Ghajini,” passed away on August 4 at the age of 74. He leaves behind his wife and son, Vikramaditya.

A peace meeting was held on Friday to honor Rawat’s soul, attended by numerous stars from the film industry. During the gathering, Vikramaditya became emotional while discussing his father. He addressed the various claims circulating on social media, stating that his father was not ill for an extended period as suggested.

Vikramaditya revealed that his father’s health deteriorated two to two and a half months ago, leading to a diagnosis of aggressive cancer. This type of cancer typically affects younger individuals, yet it claimed his father’s life.

“My father was a proud man who taught me the value of hard work. He wanted me to become a star, and I am determined to fulfill that wish. We will see where destiny takes me. My father initially aspired to be a soldier, following in the footsteps of my grandfather, who served in the army. He could not join the military, which led him to pursue acting. I am deeply saddened by his loss, but I take comfort in the fact that he was my father. He advised me never to let pride get in the way and to always work humbly,” Vikramaditya shared.

Actor Ameen Haji reflected on the busy nature of life, emphasizing the importance of spending time with friends. “Life is fleeting, and while our work never ends, friendships can. We have lost a good friend. He had promised to recover soon, and we would all have fun together, but he lost this battle,” Haji said.

Mukesh Rishi also spoke about Rawat, noting that he was still actively working and in good health. “Everyone knows what kind of person he was. What happened was beyond anyone’s control. We worked together on several films, and even after long separations, there was always a sense of familiarity. The time spent with him was truly special. May God grant peace to his soul and bless his family with strength during this difficult time,” Rishi added.
