Ghaziabad, February 21: A special ‘Passport Lok Adalat’ will be held in Ghaziabad on February 24 to expedite the resolution of pending passport applications. This initiative is in compliance with directives from the Ministry of External Affairs and will take place at the regional passport office in Ghaziabad.
Individuals with passport-related grievances can attend the Lok Adalat on February 24 (Tuesday) from 3 PM to 5 PM. The primary aim of this initiative is to provide relief to applicants whose passport files are pending for various reasons.
During the Lok Adalat, the regional passport officer will meet with applicants to listen to their issues and ensure solutions are provided on the spot whenever possible. This will help applicants avoid repeated visits to the office, enhancing transparency and speed in the process.
Regional Passport Officer Anuj Swaroop (Indian Foreign Service) stated that this event is organized with the convenience of citizens in mind. He mentioned that due to limited time availability, a maximum of 50 applicants’ files will be processed during this Lok Adalat. Therefore, applicants with pending files are encouraged to arrive early with the necessary documents to take advantage of this opportunity.
The office administration has also informed that for any additional information or clarification, applicants can contact the office’s official email ID. Guidance will also be provided to applicants via email.
