Mumbai, August 9: Samajwadi Party MP Avadhesh Prasad has responded to former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s remarks, Rahul Gandhi‘s program in Prayagraj, student protests in Jharkhand, and the audit report of the Ram Temple.
In a conversation with reporters, Avadhesh Prasad stated that the scale of corruption is so vast that it cannot even be counted. He accused the government of attempting to suppress this issue. “Even if the government tries to bury it, Lord Ram will not forgive,” he asserted, quoting Tulsidas: “Whenever there is a decline in righteousness, the wicked and arrogant rise.”
Prasad emphasized that the land of Ayodhya and Lord Ram has been tarnished. He claimed that the government was formed in Ayodhya and would face its downfall from there. The temple was built under a court order, he noted, accusing the government of commercializing Ram’s name.
Regarding the student protests in Jharkhand, Prasad remarked that the government does not wish to find a solution. “The government’s intentions are not right. Jharkhand is not outside the country. Akhilesh Yadav and the Samajwadi Party stand with the students. We will fight their battle,” he stated.
On Rahul Gandhi’s event in Prayagraj, Prasad mentioned that the ‘India Alliance’ was formed for good causes, including addressing unemployment and injustice. “No one can create a rift in this alliance,” he added. Responding to Gandhi’s comments about degrees, he said that youth and students are the nation’s invaluable assets, and they are being oppressed under the BJP government.
The SP MP highlighted that millions of students and youth gathered at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, where they faced police brutality. “Our leader Dimple Yadav was injured, and both Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi were detained. The entire opposition demands that the Home Minister come to the House. Unfortunately, the government does not want the House to function. Students have no caste; they are not confined to one district,” he asserted.
Prasad remarked, “Whenever students have led the charge, power has changed hands. During the Emergency, students took to the streets, leading to a change in power. Even during discussions on the anti-cheating ordinance, neither the Prime Minister nor the Home Minister was present in the House. This government does not have the right intentions for the students.”
Responding to Dharmendra Pradhan’s statement about misleading students, Prasad said that no student is misguided. “Students have a glorious history. They have always paved the right path and guided the government. Today, students are distressed.”
