
Ayodhya, August 27: The Samajwadi Party (SP) has been raising concerns about the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh. This comes in the wake of a violent incident in Ayodhya that resulted in one death. The SP has accused the state government of failing to maintain law and order. In response, BJP legislator Ved Prakash Gupta countered these claims.
Expressing his sorrow over the incident during a conversation, Gupta described it as a tragic event that has left everyone distressed. He acknowledged the grief of the deceased’s family and assured that necessary actions would be taken in the case. Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, Gupta stated that the rule of law prevails in the state, and appropriate measures will be implemented regarding this incident.
When questioned about the SP’s criticism of the government, Gupta refrained from commenting extensively, noting that the SP MP is a senior figure. He highlighted the law and order situation during the SP’s tenure, stating that the public is well aware of the chaos that prevailed at that time. Gupta, who had witnessed the struggles of traders before becoming a legislator, emphasized that various sectors of society were affected during the SP’s rule.
Gupta reiterated that everyone is saddened by the Ayodhya incident and that the government is taking action. He assured that the administration is performing its duties and that legal actions will be taken against those responsible.
Additionally, Gupta mentioned participating in a Raksha Bandhan festival organized by the transport department at the Ayodhya Circuit House. He praised the initiative started under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to honor women with free bus travel. During the event, local women tied rakhi on his wrist, which he described as an emotional and memorable experience symbolizing the love and trust between siblings. Gupta concluded by stating that Raksha Bandhan strengthens the bond between brothers and sisters.
