In a clip that has resurfaced online, Reynolds described his infatuation with a girl who lived just across from him. He would often ride the bus just to sit next to her for 45 minutes. “When you’re young, it feels cute,” he said. “But when you grow up, it just seems like stalking.”
The actor recalled an incident when he was about 11 years old. He was getting off the bus, trying to impress her with a cool move reminiscent of a character from ‘Miami Vice.’ As he attempted to execute his exit with style, he lingered too long, causing the bus doors to shut on his backpack.
“I was pushing against the side of the bus, and the driver finally stopped and opened the door,” he explained. After collecting his backpack, he was too embarrassed to look at her. The story brought laughter to the audience, showcasing Reynolds’ charm and relatability.
