SP-Congress Alliance Expected, Official Announcement Coming Soon: Ramashankar Rajbhar

Ramashankar Rajbhar hints at a finalized SP-Congress alliance for Uttar Pradesh elections, awaiting official announcement.

New Delhi, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : Ramashankar Rajbhar, a Member of Parliament from the Samajwadi Party (SP), has made significant remarks regarding the seat-sharing arrangement between the SP and Congress for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He expressed that while it is not wrong to expect a coalition, the lack of statements from both parties over the past two weeks suggests that the alliance is already established, with only an official announcement pending. “It’s not unreasonable to expect this,” he stated in an interview. “However, as you can see, neither the Samajwadi Party nor Congress has made any comments on this matter for the last 15 days. This indicates that the alliance is set; only the announcement is left. Our leaders will reveal it at the appropriate time.”

Rajbhar also responded to statements made by AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, questioning the basis of comments made on caste and religion. He challenged Owaisi’s authority to dictate who should lay carpets or rule. “If Abdul is not the one laying the carpet, then who has he been doing it for?” Rajbhar asked. He urged leaders to consider the impact of caste and religion-based statements on the public.

Additionally, he expressed skepticism regarding reports that the DMK would support the central government’s delimitation bill, claiming it could disproportionately harm southern India. “The DMK strongly opposed the delimitation bill last time; I doubt they will support it now,” he remarked. He warned that if the government proceeds with the bill, it would be a misguided decision.

Rajbhar also criticized the government for its handling of parliamentary proceedings, noting that even after 19 days of sessions, there was not a single hour of productive work. He stated that the party is now awaiting further instructions from its leaders on this issue.

He concluded with a warning that if the government introduces the delimitation bill, it will face significant backlash, emphasizing that the government is not acting in the public’s interest, which is causing widespread discomfort among citizens.
