Son Arrested for Allegedly Killing Father Over Money Dispute in Udaipur’s Ghassa Police Station Area

Udaipur, Aug 12Police in Ghassa have arrested a man accused of killing his father following a heated argument over money from a land sale.

According to police, on the night of August 10, 2025, they received information from village Vijnawas that Babulal (60), son of Fateh Lal Bhil, had been fatally assaulted by his son Kishan Lal. The dispute reportedly arose when Kishan Lal demanded that his father withdraw money credited to his account from a land transaction. The argument turned violent, and Kishan Lal allegedly struck Babulal with a wooden stick, causing fatal head injuries.

When the Ghassa Station House Officer (SHO) and his team reached the spot, they found Babulal’s body lying on a cot inside the house, with visible head wounds and blood stains inside the room and in the courtyard. The body was sent to the mortuary at CHC Khemli. Based on a complaint lodged by the deceased’s brother, Hiralal, a case was registered and investigation began.

Given the seriousness of the crime, Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal directed immediate action for the suspect’s arrest. Under the supervision of Additional SP Anjana Sukhwal (Kherwada) and DySP Rajendra Singh (Mavli), SHO Praveen Singh Rajpurohit and his team detained Kishan Lal from Vijnawas village. During questioning, he confessed to committing the offence. Further investigation is underway.
