Birbhum, April 5: Bengali actress Soma Dey campaigned for BJP candidate Krishnakant Saha on Sunday. She expressed strong support for the BJP, stating that the crowd’s enthusiasm indicates a pressing need for a BJP government in Bengal. Dey emphasized the importance of implementing Prime Minister Modi’s initiatives, asserting that this election should favor the BJP.
Dey directed her criticism at the TMC and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, urging them to improve, claiming that time is running out as a BJP government is on the horizon.
Krishnakant Saha, the BJP candidate from the Santhia assembly constituency, spoke to a news agency, highlighting that development will flourish under a BJP-led government in Santhia. He noted that locals believe a BJP victory is assured, and excitement is building for PM Modi’s upcoming rally. Saha stated that the development of Santhia is guaranteed with Modi’s leadership, predicting the formation of a double-engine government in Bengal.
Jagannath Chatterjee, the BJP candidate from the Suri assembly seat, declared that the TMC’s time is up. He confidently predicted that the BJP will secure over 170 seats in Birbhum and establish a government in Bengal after the election results on May 4.
Chatterjee remarked on the TMC’s internal issues, suggesting that it is not appropriate for him to comment on their internal matters. He pointed out that if the Chief Minister is attending rallies without key committee members, it indicates dissent within the TMC regarding their return to power.
