Udaipur, August 17 (Kiran News) : Complainant Soumeshwar Bhagora alias Soma Bhagora, son of Kawa and resident of Malifala Ukhedi, Patia Police Station, District Udaipur, reported that on 12 August 2025, his brother Naveen (son of Kavaji) and Govind (son of Pooja Dabaycha) were returning from the bus stand by cruiser vehicle. At around 9 PM, near the Malifala Panchayat bridge, 10 to 15 armed miscreants, who were lying in wait, stopped their cruiser vehicle. They forced his brother to get down and attacked him with axes, beer bottles, knives, iron rods, sticks, and punches, resulting in his death. Among the attackers were Jaheh, Dharmendra, Shailesh, Brijesh, Lalit, and 7–8 other miscreants. On the basis of the report, Case No. 109/2025 under sections 191(2), 191(3), 190, 126(2), 103(1), 61(2), and 111 of the Indian Penal Code was registered. The FSL team and dog squad inspected the crime scene and the investigation began.

Considering the seriousness of the case, Udaipur District Superintendent of Police, Yogesh Goyal, issued instructions for the immediate arrest of those involved in the crime. Under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police, Kherwada, Mrs. Anjana Sukhwal, and Circle Officer Rishabhdev, Mr. Rajiv Rahar, Station Officer Patia Mr. Devendra Singh Rao and his team collected intelligence, technical assistance, and confidential information, and revealed the case. Within four days, the team arrested six accused, including a government teacher, from the jungles of Khadkaya at night after detention and interrogation. Further investigation in the case is ongoing.
Reason for the Murder:
During the investigation, it was found that the accused and the deceased Naveen belonged to the same village and were friends. However, due to a dispute some days ago, the accused gathered full information about Naveen, tracked his movements, and attacked him with weapons, leading to his death. The accused were armed with different weapons.
