New Delhi, February 21: Controversy has erupted over the protests by Congress workers at the AI Summit. While law enforcement is taking action against the accused, political parties are launching sharp attacks on Congress. Shrikant Shinde, a Shiv Sena MP and son of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, has targeted Rahul Gandhi directly.
In a post on the social media platform X, Shrikant Shinde stated that Rahul Gandhi has proven he is unfit to lead his party and is now showing he is also unqualified to serve as the Leader of the Opposition in India.
Referencing a quote from Mark Twain, he wrote, “Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.”
He further criticized Congress for choosing protests and theatrics over serious issues at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hosting a global AI summit. Innovators, investors, and world leaders have gathered to showcase India’s technological and economic strength. Shinde expressed disappointment that Congress workers are taking actions that embarrass the nation during such a significant event.
He emphasized that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India’s image as a digital leader and rapidly growing economy has strengthened. India is now confidently hosting global platforms with clarity and capability. This is true leadership, he argued, contrasting it with the opposition’s noise and lack of solutions.
Shinde concluded by stating that democracy requires a strong and serious opposition, but what is currently visible is a lack of credibility. He expressed hope that the main opposition party would proceed with wisdom, integrity, and, above all, love for India.
