BJP Criticizes Farooq Abdullahs Comments on Pakistan, Demands Clarity from Congress and Omar Abdullah
BJP spokesperson Tuhin Sinha condemns Farooq Abdullahs remarks on Pakistan, calling for accountability from Congress and Omar Abdullah.

Coimbatore, October 25 (Daily Kiran) : BJP National Spokesperson Tuhin Sinha has sharply criticized Farooq Abdullah’s recent comments regarding Pakistan. He called on Omar Abdullah and the Congress party to clarify their positions on the matter. Sinha also voiced concerns about Rahul Gandhi’s decision to hold a rally on November 1, coinciding with the anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
In an interview, Sinha stated, “Farooq Abdullah’s bizarre statements supporting Pakistan once again reveal his treasonous nature. Over the decades, he has either openly supported Pakistan or resorted to deceit to maintain his political relevance. His remarks yesterday confirm that he has always acted against the interests of the country.”
Sinha further challenged Omar Abdullah to either denounce his father’s statements or openly support them. “If he stands by his father, then he loses any moral authority to continue as Chief Minister and should resign immediately,” Sinha asserted. He also emphasized that since the National Conference is an ally of the Congress, the party must clarify its stance on Farooq Abdullah’s support for Pakistan. “Is Farooq Abdullah acting on Rahul Gandhi’s instructions? While Rahul is on an undisclosed vacation, he might be directing Abdullah to make anti-India statements. The Congress party needs to clarify its position on these highly objectionable remarks.”
Regarding the proposed rally by the India alliance, Sinha remarked, “Rahul Gandhi’s insistence on holding his so-called ‘vote theft’ rally on November 1 is an affront to the sentiments of millions of Sikh families. The memories of the tragedy from November 1, 1984, when Congress workers unleashed violence against the Sikh community, are still fresh. At that time, newly appointed Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi justified the violence by saying, ‘When a big tree falls, the earth shakes.’ Today, Rahul’s insistence on this date raises serious questions about the Congress party’s intentions.”
