Shocking Twist in Saharanpur: Theft Scheme Uncovered as Complainant is Mastermind

Police in Saharanpur reveal that the complainant of a ₹10 lakh theft was actually the mastermind behind the scheme.

Saharanpur, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : In a startling revelation, the police in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, have solved a ₹10 lakh theft case that took an unexpected turn. Authorities announced that the individual who reported the theft was actually the mastermind behind the entire scheme.

The incident unfolded on Saturday at approximately 11:20 a.m. near a local liquor store on the Gandewad-Raipur road in the Behat police jurisdiction. According to the police, four unidentified assailants stopped a car, hurled stones, assaulted the driver, Deepak Saini, at gunpoint, and fled with ₹10.10 lakh.

Upon receiving an emergency call on helpline 112, the Behat police team quickly mobilized. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Mayank Pathak, along with other officers and the Special Operations Group (SOG), arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation.

However, during preliminary questioning, the police noticed inconsistencies in the theft report. This prompted them to delve deeper into the case. According to SP Pathak, Saini operated a private ATM service. Investigators soon discovered that the entire amount he claimed was stolen was actually found in his own vehicle.

Under interrogation, Saini allegedly confessed that he had incurred debts amounting to nearly ₹10 lakh and had fabricated the robbery story to cover his financial troubles. Pathak stated that the complainant had made a false emergency call, claiming he was robbed by armed men. Following this report, the police registered a case and commenced necessary actions.

Once the cash was recovered from Saini’s vehicle, the entire plot unraveled. The police have since taken action against him for orchestrating the fake robbery and misleading law enforcement.
