Shocking Heist in Gwalior: Pregnant Woman Orchestrates 50 Lakh Robbery with Family

Gwalior, June 6: In a sensational case, police in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, uncovered a robbery worth 50 lakh within 24 hours. The mastermind behind this audacious crime was none other than the pregnant complainant, Pinky Srivastava, who conspired with her husband Shubham and two accomplices.

The robbery took place on June 4 in broad daylight at the home of Monika Srivastava in Sachdeva Colony, Dubra. At the time, Pinky was at Monika’s house with her son, while Monika was at work. Two young men arrived on a motorcycle, one with a cloth covering his face and the other wearing a helmet. They claimed to be there for air conditioner repairs, but instead executed the robbery.

According to Pinky’s account to the police, the two men posed as AC technicians sent by Monika. She went inside to fetch her phone to confirm this, allowing the intruders to enter. One of them threatened Pinky with a weapon, while the other restrained her, binding her hands, feet, and mouth before assaulting her. The robbers made off with 3 to 4 lakh in cash and jewelry worth approximately 46 lakh. This incident posed a significant challenge for the police.

Superintendent of Police Dharmveer Singh Yadav informed reporters that during the investigation, police obtained crucial CCTV footage. This led them to suspect Shubham Srivastava and his accomplice Sonu. Upon rigorous questioning, the truth behind the Dubra robbery emerged. It turned out that Monika (Ranu) is Shubham’s sister. Due to financial difficulties, Shubham and Pinky had been living at Ranu’s house. Pinky had previously seen Ranu storing cash and jewelry in a cupboard, which sparked her plan to execute the robbery.

Pinky devised a scheme to carry out the heist while Ranu was at work. She called Shubham and Sonu under the pretense of needing AC repairs, and after handing them the cash and jewelry, she raised a false alarm to neighbors and the police. Within 24 hours, the police solved the case, arresting Pinky, Shubham, and their friends Sonu Kaushik and Asif, recovering the stolen items.
