Mumbai, April 6: Shiv Sena spokesperson Shaina NC has responded to Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks regarding the people of Gujarat, the Women’s Reservation Bill, and the upcoming by-elections in Baramati. She stated, “Mallikarjun Kharge should apologize to the people of Gujarat. First, he needs to understand that the Gujarati people are not uneducated; it is his own leader (Rahul Gandhi) who is out of touch.”
Shaina NC added, “When Kharge makes such comments, it reveals his involvement in divisive politics. He targets others, while the most capable leaders come from Gujarat.”
Discussing the Women’s Reservation Bill, Shaina NC emphasized, “The Prime Minister has shown a strong commitment to the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. After a minor challenge in 2023, this law will only be implemented following the 2029 delimitation. I believe all parties should step forward to demonstrate that this is not merely a symbolic gesture. This is essential, as for decades, women have only been nominated for namesake.”
The Shiv Sena leader urged, “Whether it’s Akhilesh Yadav or the Congress party, I humbly request them to recognize that 50% of the voters in this country are women. To empower them, when Panchayati Raj was implemented in the 1990s, 1.4 million women were given opportunities. In both Parliament and the Assembly, we need to move beyond 14% and 10% representation to 33% reservation. Additionally, there is a need to change the male-dominated mindset.”
On the Congress party fielding a candidate in the Baramati by-election following Ajit Pawar’s demise, Shaina NC made sharp remarks. She stated, “The selfishness of the Congress party is clearly visible. After Ajit Pawar’s passing, Sunetra Pawar was naturally expected to be the candidate and was anticipated to win unopposed. However, the alliance’s stance in Maharashtra has completely reversed. The Congress says one thing, while Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray say another. These individuals are willing to go to any lengths for power, but Sunetra Pawar will win by a clear majority and give a strong response to the Congress party.”
Shaina NC also accused Ashok Kharat of being a fraudster involved in multiple financial irregularities, stating, “This is why the ED is investigating, and the SIT is examining the criminal aspects. All of this will come to light publicly.”
