Mumbai, March 9: Samsung has officially announced the launch of the Galaxy M17e 5G in India, set for March 17. This new smartphone adds to the brand’s popular M series and is aimed at the budget-conscious consumer, with a price expected to be under ₹14,000. While most key specifications have been revealed, the final pricing will be confirmed on the launch date.

The Galaxy M17e 5G boasts a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G processor, paired with an Arm Mali-G57 GPU.
Running on One UI 8.0, based on Android 16, the device includes features such as Circle to Search, large home screen folders, real-time notifications via the Now Bar, and AI integration with Google Gemini. Samsung promises six years of Android OS and security updates for long-term support.
The camera system features a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait effects on the rear. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8MP front-facing camera. Samsung has integrated AI capabilities to enhance photo quality and usability.
