Moscow, November 1 (Daily Kiran) : Russia’s defense ministry announced on November 1 that Ukraine has reportedly lost approximately 1,175 soldiers during the ongoing special military operation. The ministry claimed that Russian air defense systems successfully shot down 391 fixed-wing drones belonging to Ukraine.

According to a report from the Russian news agency TASS, the defense ministry detailed the losses over the past 24 hours. Specific figures indicated that the ‘North’ battle group accounted for around 190 Ukrainian casualties, the ‘West’ group claimed about 200, while the ‘South’ group reported over 210. The ‘Center’ group was said to have eliminated approximately 350 soldiers, the ‘East’ group around 205, and the ‘Dnieper’ group about 20.

The report also highlighted that Russian forces targeted critical transportation and energy infrastructure used by the Ukrainian military. This included assaults on drone storage and launch sites.

In a statement, the defense ministry emphasized that Russian armed forces focused their attacks on energy and transportation infrastructures utilized by Ukraine. They also targeted drone assembly workshops, storage facilities, ammunition depots, and temporary locations housing Ukrainian soldiers and foreign fighters.

Additionally, the ministry noted that Russian air defense systems had downed 391 Ukrainian drones in the last 24 hours.

In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of deliberately targeting Ukraine’s energy facilities. He reported that attacks occurred on Saturday night in cities such as Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi.

Zelensky further indicated that Russia’s assaults on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure continue unabated. In the past week alone, Russia launched 1,940 attack drones, over 1,580 guided aerial bombs, and 44 different types of missiles, including 36 ballistic missiles.
