RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat to Visit Assam for Three-Day Training Program

Guwahati, May 13: Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), will arrive in Assam on Wednesday for a three-day visit. During this time, he will participate in the organization’s training program, as confirmed by RSS officials on Tuesday.

According to the officials, Bhagwat will attend the ‘Karyakarta Vikas Varg (Second Year)’ training camp organized in the state. This program is part of the RSS’s initiatives for training its workers and developing leadership skills.

The training camp will take place in Guwahati, attracting volunteers from various parts of the Northeast. Senior RSS leaders and propagators will also be present during the three-day event.

Sources indicate that Bhagwat may address participants on topics such as organizational expansion, social engagement, nation-building initiatives, and the role of workers in strengthening grassroots activities across the country.

During his visit, Bhagwat will also hold meetings with senior RSS officials from Assam and other northeastern states. The ‘Karyakarta Vikas Varg’ is considered a crucial internal training program aimed at enhancing leadership capabilities, ideological understanding, and organizational skills among workers.

Only those volunteers who have completed the first phase of training will participate in this second-year camp. Security measures have been heightened in Guwahati ahead of Bhagwat’s visit, with the administration coordinating with organizers to ensure the smooth conduct of the program.

This visit is deemed significant, especially following the recent swearing-in of the new NDA government in Assam under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. In recent years, the RSS has expanded its presence in the Northeast through educational, social, and cultural activities.

Senior leaders of the organization frequently visit the region to strengthen coordination with local units and volunteers. Bhagwat’s visit is expected to conclude on May 15, following the completion of the training program.
