
New Delhi, April 18: The Andaman and Nicobar Administration’s Department of Environment and Forests has issued an official notification for the recruitment of 348 Group ‘C’ positions, including industrial workers and other non-ministerial roles. These positions are based at the office of the Divisional Forest Officer located in Wimberlygunj, South Andaman.
Among the 348 positions available, there are 296 for laborers, 1 grader, 20 assistant sawyers, 1 beltman, 5 oilers, 7 raftmen, 4 timber recorders, 7 tallymen, and 7 mill workers.
The online application process has commenced, with the deadline set for April 29. Eligible candidates who wish to apply can submit their registration forms on the official website within the stipulated time. A correction window will be available from April 30 to May 6 for those who may make mistakes while filling out the form.
Candidates must have passed the secondary school examination (10th grade) from a recognized board or institution. Additionally, candidates should possess knowledge of swimming/diving, an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized industrial training institute, and must pass a trade test with good physical fitness.
The minimum age for applicants is 18 years, while the maximum age is set at 38 years for women and 33 years for men, calculated as of April 29. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on three different levels of physical tests, including a running test, long jump, and weight-bearing capacity test. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹18,000 to ₹56,900.
All applicants are required to pay an application fee of ₹100 online. However, women candidates from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category are exempt from the registration fee.
To apply online, candidates should first visit the official website mentioned in the notification. After reaching the homepage, click on the active application link for the relevant position. Then, register and log in. Fill in all required information in the form and upload the necessary documents in the correct size. After paying the registration fee, submit the form. Finally, print out the application for future reference.
