Bhubaneswar, May 13: A great opportunity has arisen for youth aspiring to work in a government institution. The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has officially announced the recruitment of 21 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions on a contractual basis. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply.
The online application process has commenced, and the deadline for submission is set for May 19. Candidates wishing to apply for the JRF positions can send their CV along with all relevant documents to the official email address provided in the notification before or by the last date.
Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree in basic sciences from a recognized institution or university, a graduation/master’s degree in a professional course, and must have qualified the CSIR-UGC NET, which includes eligibility for lectureship (Assistant Professorship). Additionally, candidates should have passed the GATE or any national-level scholarship examination. Relevant qualifications in the specified field are also mandatory.
The maximum age limit for candidates is set at 38 years, with age relaxation applicable for candidates from reserved categories as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on shortlisting, examination/interview, and other criteria as per project requirements. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹37,000 to ₹42,000, along with additional benefits and allowances.
Candidates will be notified of the examination results via email by May 25. The examination/interview will be conducted in person at NIT Rourkela by June 5. Successful candidates will receive notification of their selection via email by June 18, with the joining date scheduled for June 29.
