Mumbai, March 27: Realme is set to unveil the Realme 16 5G on April 2, 2026, as part of its expanding 16 Series lineup. This new smartphone emphasizes photography and content creation, integrating advanced camera hardware with AI capabilities.
The device is equipped with 50MP Sony sensors for both the rear and front cameras, ensuring consistent image quality across both. A unique rear selfie mirror allows users to frame shots using the main camera instead of the front lens. Additionally, a built-in ring flash enhances lighting in low-light situations.
On the software front, Realme is introducing various camera tools. The LumaColor imaging feature maintains balanced colors and natural skin tones under different lighting conditions. The “Say Hi” gesture feature enables users to initiate a countdown shutter with a simple hand gesture. Vibe Master Mode provides three preset styles—Lively, Festival, and Ceremony—for quick edits. The AI Edit Genie allows users to modify elements like hairstyles, clothing, and backgrounds using straightforward commands. Furthermore, AI Instant Clip can transform photos and videos from the gallery into ready-to-share clips.
The Realme 16 5G also prioritizes battery life and design. It houses a robust 7000mAh battery while maintaining a slim profile of just 8.1mm in thickness and weighing 183g. Realme attributes this feat to its “AirCraft Structure,” which optimizes internal layout and minimizes unused space. High energy-density graphite cells enable the large battery to fit within a sleek body, while enhanced internal stacking provides added strength.
The phone features a 6.57-inch display with narrow bezels and rounded edges for improved grip. The back panel showcases a “Gleaming Wings” design with a layered blue-gold gradient finish, complemented by an anti-fingerprint coating. The Realme 16 5G will be available in two colors: Air Black and Air White.
