
Farrukhabad, March 27: In a significant police operation in Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukhabad, two robbery suspects were apprehended following an encounter. One of the suspects sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. The police are now pursuing further action in the case.
The encounter took place near Lakula village in the Kadri Gate police station area, where officers arrested Deepak, also known as Baba, along with an accomplice.
The police were conducting “Operation Langda” aimed at capturing suspects involved in robbery and theft. They received intelligence indicating that the robbery suspects were in the vicinity of Lakula village. Acting swiftly on this information, the police moved in to apprehend the suspects, leading to the encounter. During this exchange, Deepak sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and was subsequently hospitalized.
Authorities reported that the encounter occurred just 12 hours after the robbery incident, successfully resolving the case. Deepak was treated at District Lohia Hospital, while the second suspect was also taken into custody. During the operation, police recovered a .315 bore pistol and a scooter from the suspects.
The police stated that Operation Langda is ongoing, with special teams deployed to capture all notorious criminals. The swift resolution of the robbery case and the arrest of two suspects within 12 hours marks a significant achievement for law enforcement.
