Raveena Tandons Mothers Jewelry and Watches Stolen; Accused Woman Arrested

Mumbai, June 2: Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon’s mother has fallen victim to a significant theft, with approximately ₹25 lakh worth of jewelry and expensive watches stolen from her home. The Mumbai police have arrested a woman in connection with the crime. Authorities claim that the accused had been in contact with the family for several years and gained their trust before executing the theft.

The arrested woman, identified as Rashi Chhabria, is 47 years old. Police investigations revealed that Rashi had been associated with the Tandon family since 2020. She frequently visited to care for Raveena’s mother, Veena Tandon, and became a trusted presence in their household, assisting with everything from cooking to caregiving.

Over time, the accused managed to win the family’s confidence. Taking advantage of this trust, she allegedly monitored the valuable items in the house and seized the opportunity to steal jewelry and two luxury watches.

The theft came to light when the family checked their locker and discovered that the jewelry and watches were missing. Following this, they gathered information about individuals who had access to their home and questioned Rashi Chhabria. Initially, she denied any involvement in the theft.

However, upon further interrogation, she returned the stolen luxury watches and revealed that she had given the remaining jewelry to a person named Jagdish, promising to return those items soon.

Meanwhile, Raveena Tandon is currently in the spotlight for her upcoming film “Welcome to the Jungle,” a comedy-drama directed by Ahmed Khan. The film features a star-studded cast, including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Disha Patani, and Lara Dutta. The music for the film has been composed by Meet Brothers, and it is set to release in theaters on June 26.
