Lucknow, March 13: BJP MP Jagdambika Pal has responded to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s questions regarding the gas crisis. He stated that there is no shortage of gas, but the atmosphere being created suggests that if black marketing increases, Rahul Gandhi will be held responsible.
During a media interaction in Lucknow, Pal emphasized that Rahul Gandhi is not just a leader of the Congress party but also the leader of the entire opposition. He noted that Gandhi visited Lucknow today and had been in Haryana two days prior. He criticized Gandhi for not being present in Parliament, where he should represent the sentiments of 1.4 billion Indians.
Pal mentioned that on Thursday, the Leader of the Opposition raised concerns about the gas and oil crisis. The Petroleum Minister provided a detailed response in the House, assuring that there is no shortage of gas or oil in India. He highlighted that even Iran has allowed our ships to pass through Hormuz, and crude oil shipments have already reached India. Despite this, Rahul Gandhi was in Lucknow instead of being in Parliament.
Regarding the opposition’s uproar in Parliament, Pal accused Rahul Gandhi’s supporters of disrupting proceedings. He condemned the actions of opposition MPs who are staging protests in the Parliament complex, arguing that this only creates panic among the public, leading to chaos.
He asserted that if the public begins to panic and engage in black marketing, it will not be the fault of the common people but rather the responsibility of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.
On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of LPG shortages amid the West Asia crisis, stating that this is just the beginning of a painful situation that will escalate in the coming days. He warned that the long-term consequences of the conflict between the U.S.-Israel and Iran are already becoming evident.
