Patna, August 9: Bihar government minister Ramkripal Yadav and JDU national general secretary Shyam Rajak responded to statements made by Dharmendra Pradhan, Prime Minister Modi’s outreach to youth, student protests in Jharkhand, and the issue of delimitation.
AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the IIT Delhi convocation for asking students to “bow their heads” and stand during Vedic chants. In response, Minister Ramkripal Yadav stated, “Owaisi has always had objections and will continue to do so. He dislikes the Prime Minister’s face and views him differently, which is why he opposes every decision made by the Prime Minister. He does not think about national interests. Everyone knows his position in the Lok Sabha.”
Regarding Rahul Gandhi‘s engagement with students, Ramkripal Yadav remarked, “Rahul Gandhi is misleading the youth. It is well-known that the Congress party has ruled at the center and in states for nearly 60 years since independence. If the youth are misled today or if the country is facing unemployment, the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, and his family are responsible. Rahul Gandhi should not mislead the youth.”
He further commented on the protests in Jharkhand, saying, “Many states have governments running with the support of Congress. In Jharkhand, the government is also led by a Congress alliance. Why is Rahul Gandhi not concerned about the students in Jharkhand?”
On the absence of 37 out of 57 MPs from Tamil Nadu in a multi-party meeting called by Chief Minister Vijay, Ramkripal stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are looking to carry out delimitation for the country’s benefit. This will be applicable in every state. The Home Minister has assured that there will be no discrimination against anyone. Delimitation will serve the national interest and will not cause problems for any state.”
Meanwhile, JDU national general secretary Shyam Rajak commented on the Jharkhand protests, stating, “I repeatedly say that Chief Minister Hemant Soren should engage directly with the students. This will not diminish his stature but rather enhance it. Dialogue is the greatest solution, and he should either meet them or invite them for discussions in any manner they prefer. He needs to make a firm decision and work towards resolving their issues.”
In response to Dharmendra Pradhan’s statement about misleading Gen Z, Shyam Rajak said, “It is possible that Gen Z may be confused, but the bigger question is that the youth are apathetic. Even decades after independence, the future of the youth remains bleak. They are unable to outline their future, making them susceptible to being misled.”
