Dehradun, August 9: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign held in Dehradun ahead of the 80th Independence Day on August 15. He noted that the residents of Dehradun and surrounding areas actively engaged in the event, showcasing their unwavering commitment to the pride and honor of the nation.
While addressing the gathering, CM Dhami emphasized that this campaign is not just an ordinary event but a celebration of national pride. He stated that the massive turnout and the waving of the national flag symbolize the deep-rooted spirit of patriotism among the people of Uttarakhand.
“This tricolor represents the honor and dignity of 1.4 billion Indians,” he remarked. “The saffron color embodies the courage and sacrifice of our heroes, the white signifies peace and truth, and every hue reflects our hopes for prosperity and development. The Ashoka Chakra inspires us to continually strive forward. When the tricolor waves in the sky, every Indian’s chest swells with pride.”
He further remarked, “We did not acquire this flag without sacrifice. Many have given their lives for its protection, and the heroes of our freedom struggle ensured that the dignity of the tricolor was never compromised. Thus, holding the tricolor instills a sense of pride in us.”
CM Dhami called for a collective commitment to uphold the unity, integrity, and defense of the nation. He assured that whenever challenges arise, they will be faced with determination and resilience.
After the event, he spoke to the media, highlighting the enthusiastic participation of the people in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign.
