New Delhi, March 31: Senior BJP leader R.P. Singh has responded sharply to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s recent statements. He accused Gandhi of opposing Prime Minister Modi to the extent of opposing the nation itself.
In a conversation in New Delhi, Singh labeled Rahul Gandhi as a fake and deceitful leader. He emphasized that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has not led to an increase in fuel prices in India, as the government has absorbed the excise burden. Singh asserted that there is no shortage of LPG, but the opposition is deliberately trying to create a scarcity, which could harm the country. He stated that while opposing Narendra Modi is acceptable, opposing the nation is not.
Commenting on the tragic stampede at the Sheetala Mata temple in Maghara village, Nalanda district, Singh expressed his deep condolences to the victims’ families. He noted that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is concerned about the affected families.
Regarding illegal immigration, Singh highlighted that it is a matter of national security. He pointed out that Assam has been actively fighting against illegal immigration, and the issue is also significant in Bengal, where the government has prioritized voter creation over taking action against intruders. He insisted that illegal immigrants are occupying resources meant for Indian citizens and must be removed from the country.
On the recent joining of tennis star Leander Paes to the BJP, Singh remarked that Paes, a prominent player from Bengal, was influenced by Prime Minister Modi’s policies.
Addressing Amit Shah’s comments on Naxalism, Singh stated that the Congress party failed to eliminate Naxalism during its tenure, and their policies contributed to its rise. He affirmed that Amit Shah’s commitment to eradicate Naxalism has been fulfilled.
Concerning Prime Minister Modi’s upcoming visit to Gujarat, Singh noted that Modi is consistently focused on infrastructure projects across the country. He is working to ensure that various infrastructure projects are completed in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
