London, March 30: Hundreds of Afghan citizens residing in London and Oslo protested against attacks by the Pakistani military in Afghanistan. These assaults have resulted in numerous civilian casualties.
According to Ariana News, demonstrators in London marched on central streets, chanting against Pakistan’s military actions. They called for immediate action from the international community. Protesters highlighted the deteriorating security situation along the Durand Line, warning that repeated shelling could further destabilize already vulnerable communities.
They demanded an independent investigation and urged for increased international pressure to prevent escalating tensions.
Meanwhile, in Oslo, members of the Afghan community gathered outside Norway’s parliament, condemning the attacks from Pakistan and calling for accountability.
Organizers reported that a formal proposal was submitted to Norwegian authorities, the United Nations, and the International Criminal Court, demanding urgent measures to halt violence and ensure the safety of civilians.
These protests come amid rising tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan following clashes, airstrikes, and artillery shelling along the Durand Line.
Afghan officials reported that a recent attack occurred on Sunday in Kunar province. Local authorities stated that a residential area was targeted by Pakistani forces using rockets and heavy weaponry, resulting in one death and 16 injuries. The shelling took place near Asadabad and surrounding homes, raising concerns of a larger conflict at the border.
Taliban spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat claimed that the attack targeted civilian homes around 5 PM local time. He noted that the injured were transported to hospitals and accused Pakistan of firing into residential areas near the border.
