New Delhi, June 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a profound Sanskrit verse on social media platform ‘X’ regarding the prosperity of the nation.
He stated, “National prosperity remains intact through collective dedication and effort. This spirit energizes society and paves the way for fulfilling development resolutions.”
The Prime Minister shared the Sanskrit shloka, “Yatrautsahsamaarambho yatraalasya vihīnata. Nayavikramasaṁyogastatra śrīrachalā dhruvam.” In Hindi, this translates to: where hard work is inspired by fervent patriotism, where laziness is completely absent, and where humility is balanced with courage, there sacrifice, penance, and dedication ensure that the nation’s prosperity remains steadfast and eternal.
Just a day earlier, on June 23, PM Modi had shared another insightful quote to pay tribute to Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, on his martyrdom day. He wrote, “A respectful tribute to the great personality of the nation, Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, who dedicated his life selflessly to the service of the nation and society. His profound thoughts and ideals will continue to inspire every generation of the country to serve the motherland.”
Additionally, the Prime Minister shared another shloka: “Na karmaṇā na prajayā dhanen tyāgenaike amṛtatvamānaśuh. Pareṇa nākaṁ nihitaṁ guhāyāṁ vibhrājate yadyatayo viśanti.” This translates to: immortality is not attained through actions, wealth, or lineage, but through sacrifice and complete dedication to high ideals. Those who renounce their selfish interests for the nation, society, and truth lead lives that transcend the boundaries of time, becoming immortal in the hearts of the people.
On Monday, while posting a Sanskrit quote, the Prime Minister remarked, “The great success of International Yoga Day is proof that yoga not only keeps millions around the world physically healthy but also inspires them to live positively with confidence.”
