Prime Minister Modi and Central Ministers Extend Independence Day Greetings to Citizens

New Delhi, August 15: India celebrates its 80th Independence Day today, marking 79 years since gaining freedom. On this significant occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several central ministers have conveyed their best wishes to the citizens.

PM Modi took to the social media platform ‘X’ to express his greetings, stating, “Warm wishes on Independence Day. We remember with gratitude the countless freedom fighters whose courage, sacrifice, and unwavering resolve ensured the end of colonial rule. Their dreams inspire us to work together towards building a ‘developed India.’ With the strength of 1.4 billion Indians, our nation is reaching new heights of progress across various sectors. May this journey accelerate in the times to come. Let us adopt their ideals and fulfill the pledge of a developed India.”

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also shared his thoughts on ‘X’, saying, “Heartfelt greetings to all citizens on Independence Day. This day is an opportunity to remember the indomitable courage, sacrifice, and supreme sacrifice of countless freedom fighters who dedicated everything for India’s freedom. Their struggle has granted us not just political freedom but also the right and responsibility to shape our nation’s future.”

He further added, “This occasion symbolizes the collective resolve of 1.4 billion Indians to create a secure, empowered, prosperous, self-reliant, and developed India that proudly touches new heights of modernity, progress, and innovation. Jai Hind!”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his sentiments on social media, stating, “Warm wishes to all citizens on Independence Day. On this occasion, I pay my deepest respects to all the brave warriors who dedicated their lives for the freedom of Mother India. Let us resolve to accelerate the creation of a developed, prosperous, and self-reliant India this Independence Day.”

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari also shared his Independence Day greetings on ‘X’, saying, “Heartfelt wishes to all citizens on this national festival of Independence Day. Let us contribute to making a prosperous new India and realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a self-reliant India.”

Union Health Minister JP Nadda conveyed his congratulations on social media, stating, “I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all citizens on the 80th Independence Day. On this sacred day of freedom, I pay homage to the great personalities, revolutionaries, and freedom fighters who dedicated everything for the protection and service of Mother India. Let us all reaffirm our commitment to strengthening the unity, integrity, brotherhood, and democratic values of our country while building a ‘developed and self-reliant India.’”
