
New Delhi, September 25 (Udaipur Kiran News): President Droupadi Murmu will travel to Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, today by a special train from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station. During her visit, she will offer prayers at Shri Banke Bihari Temple, Nidhivan, Kubja Krishna Temple, and also visit Sudama Kuti. Later, in Mathura, she will perform darshan and puja at the Shri Krishna Janmasthan temple.
According to the Press Information Bureau (PIB), this marks the President’s first train journey in over two years. She last travelled by train in June 2023, when she journeyed from Bhubaneswar to her hometown Rairangpur (Odisha) on the same special service.
The President’s train is expected to depart Safdarjung at 8:30 am and reach Vrindavan around 10:00 am, via Faridabad and Palwal. She will return in the evening, leaving Mathura Junction at 5:15 pm and arriving back in Delhi at 6:45 pm.
For security, RPF and GRP personnel have been deployed at railway stations and overbridges along the route. The train, described as a Maharaja Express rake, consists of 16 coaches equipped with modern amenities. Senior officials from the President’s staff will accompany her during the journey.
