Police Investigate Sale of Made in Pakistan Bed Sheets in Motihari, Bihar
Police in Motihari, Bihar, question vendors selling bed sheets labeled Made in Pakistan amid concerns over their origin.

Motihari, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : Authorities in Motihari, Bihar, have detained two street vendors for questioning after they were found selling bed sheets labeled “Made in Pakistan.” The police acted on a complaint received on Saturday regarding the sale of these sheets in the Chandmari area.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Swarn Prabhat stated that this incident follows a similar complaint reported a few days earlier in the Raghunathpur police jurisdiction. As the investigation unfolds, officers are attempting to trace the source of these products and determine how they entered the local market.
During their inquiry, investigators identified ‘Om Sai Textiles’ located at Pandal Chowk in the Banjariya police area as a potential supplier of the sheets. The vendors claimed they purchased the bed sheets from this location and sold them in various neighborhoods. They asserted that the sheets were used and imported from different parts of India and abroad.
However, the authenticity of the “Made in Pakistan” labels remains unverified. SP Swarn Prabhat indicated that investigators are focused on uncovering how these old sheets reached Bihar and identifying those involved in their procurement and distribution.
The police are also working to ascertain who placed the orders for these products and their original source. Following the collection of evidence and witness statements, further information regarding the sheets’ origin and any potential larger distribution network is anticipated.
Earlier, on October 7, two young men were seen selling new bed sheets for just 200 rupees in the Raghunathpur area. The low price attracted numerous local buyers, but the situation escalated when one customer noticed the “Made in Pakistan” tag, sparking significant concern among those present.
