He will transfer the 22nd installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme directly into farmers’ bank accounts. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare announced on its official social media platform X, “To empower the nation’s food producers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer the 22nd installment of the PM-Kisan scheme to farmers’ bank accounts.” The live viewing link and QR code have also been made available, allowing farmers to click the link or scan the QR code to watch the event in real-time.
Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹2,000 with each installment, helping them in their agricultural activities. This time, the main event for the installment release will take place in Khanapara, Guwahati. Prime Minister Modi will transfer the funds to farmers’ accounts at 5 PM on Friday. A large number of farmers and officials are expected to attend the event.
Approximately 93.2 million farmers will benefit from this installment. The government will transfer ₹18,640 crores directly into farmers’ bank accounts. The Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system ensures that the funds reach farmers without any intermediaries, eliminating the risk of discrepancies.
The Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme aims to provide financial support to small and marginal farmers. During farming, farmers often require funds for seeds, fertilizers, medicines, or other necessities. This financial assistance proves to be extremely beneficial for them.
