Jerusalem, February 26: During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel, a memorable moment occurred when he took a selfie with undercover agents. The Indian Prime Minister shared this moment on his social media account, X, and took a deep breath of relief.

In the selfie, eight individuals are seen, all beaming alongside the Prime Minister. Modi captioned the photo, “Thank goodness, they only needed a selfie; no undercover work was required!”

The individuals featured in the photo are the stars of the popular Israeli OTT series “Fauda.” These stars are part of a team that has showcased their skills on the battlefield for Israel.

“Fauda” is one of Israel’s most popular TV/OTT series, created by former Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff. The first season aired on television in 2015, and it was subsequently released on Netflix in 2016. The show is filmed in Arabic and Hebrew and is available on Netflix with English subtitles.

In 2023, a key member of the series was martyred while fighting against Hamas. Crew member Matar Mir lost his life while serving in the military.

“Fauda” depicts the Israeli Defense Forces and intelligence agencies dealing with their adversaries in Palestine and Gaza. The show has won numerous awards, including Best Drama Series at the Israeli Academy Awards in 2016.
