PM Modi Pays Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on His 157th Birth Anniversary

New Delhi, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat on October 2, marking the 157th anniversary of the Father of the Nation. The day saw celebrations across India in honor of Gandhi’s legacy.

In a post shared on the social media platform X, Modi expressed, “Bapu’s timeless message continues to inspire us towards a better society and a developed India.”

The Prime Minister released a video highlighting the significance of October 2 for the nation. He noted, “Every child in our country knows the importance of this day. Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts have inspired the entire world. Despite being distant from power, he continues to reign in the hearts of millions.”

Modi further emphasized that as long as humanity embraces Gandhi’s ideals, his inspiration and relevance will endure. He urged people to support indigenous products, particularly khadi, stating, “I encourage everyone to buy at least one khadi product on October 2. Proudly declare that it is indigenous.”

He also shared a profound quote, stating, “Bapu’s entire life is a beacon of truth, non-violence, compassion, and service that will guide humanity in every era.” Alongside this, he posted a Sanskrit verse that encapsulates the essence of non-violence and compassion, encouraging a mindset free from hatred and ego.

This tribute reflects Modi’s commitment to keeping Gandhi’s principles alive in contemporary society.
