PM Modi Exposes TMCs Anti-Women Stance in Medinipur Rally

Medinipur, April 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Vijay Sankalp Sabha in Medinipur, West Bengal, on Sunday. He criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for widespread corruption in youth recruitment, teacher appointments, and the mid-day meal program during their governance. He also highlighted the misuse of relief funds allocated for cyclone-affected individuals, stating that the TMC has perfected the art of looting.

Modi emphasized that this election is not just about BJP candidates and workers; it is a fight led by the people of Bengal, including the youth, farmers, and laborers. He noted that across Bengal, there is a palpable sense of determination, causing TMC goons to tremble in fear.

He assured the audience that this time, every act of oppression would be accounted for. The prevailing sentiment in West Bengal is unified, with a single rallying cry: “Paltao Dorkar, Chai BJP Sarkar.”

The Prime Minister promised that a BJP government would ensure inclusive development while holding oppressors and looters accountable. He urged voters to elect a BJP Chief Minister, assuring them that direct financial support of ₹9,000 would be deposited into farmers’ accounts. He also pledged to eliminate TMC middlemen from Bengal’s markets to ensure fair prices for farmers’ produce, calling it a guarantee from Modi.

Modi further stated that a double-engine government would enhance the blue revolution, making Bengal self-reliant in fish production. He pointed out that BJP-ruled states have seen record increases in fish production over the past decade, while Bengal has lagged due to TMC’s poor policies.

He accused TMC of prioritizing its vote bank over the welfare of women, highlighting their recent anti-women stance in Parliament. Despite discussions on providing 33% reservation for women in Lok Sabha and state assemblies, TMC has blocked the bill. Modi argued that TMC fears that more women legislators would expose their acts of violence against women.

He concluded by stating that while TMC obstructs women’s reservation, they are instead focusing on providing reservations based on religion, depriving OBC communities of their rights.
