Nice, June 14: Ahead of the India Innovates Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with select investors and venture capital leaders from India, France, and several other countries on Sunday.
This innovation-focused summit will be jointly inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron.
The event will bring together prominent startups, investors, entrepreneurs, and technology experts. They will discuss opportunities for collaboration, investment, and innovation-based partnerships between India, France, and the broader global ecosystem.
These discussions with investors come at a time when India and France aim to deepen their cooperation in emerging technologies, innovation, and entrepreneurship under their ‘Special Global Strategic Partnership.’
The India Innovates Summit is expected to serve as a crucial platform for enhancing mutual investment and strengthening ties between the startup ecosystems of both countries.
Bilateral talks between Prime Minister Modi and President Macron are also anticipated in Nice, where they will review all aspects of India-France relations.
The discussions are likely to focus on innovation, technology, trade, defense cooperation, and broader strategic issues, reflecting the expanding scope of collaboration between the two nations.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit to France will last from June 13 to June 18, during which he will tour three major cities: Nice, Évian, and Paris.
Additionally, upon arriving in France, Prime Minister Modi engaged with members of the Indian community in Nice.
He expressed his gratitude on the social media platform X, stating, “A memorable welcome from the Indian community in Nice. Even though they are thousands of kilometers away from their homeland, the bond between our diaspora and India is stronger than ever.”
Earlier, upon reaching Nice, Prime Minister Modi shared details about his trip to France on X, mentioning that his schedule would include events in Nice, Évian, and Paris.
He noted, “I have just arrived in Nice. Besides Nice, this trip to France includes programs in Évian and Paris.”
