PM Modi Addresses Massive Rally in Hooghly, Calls for Change Amid Corruption Concerns

Hooghly, April 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large public gathering in Hooghly on Sunday. He sharply criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, stating that the biggest victims of the ‘Maha Jungle Raj’ are the women of Bengal.

PM Modi remarked that the greatest betrayal has been against the sisters of Bengal, which has led to visible anger among them. He highlighted that goons have been unjustly targeting women in the region, while the TMC’s ruthless government has supported these criminals. He urged the people of Bengal to never forget this.

He pointed out that under TMC rule, daughters have gone missing, yet the government remains inactive. “No more,” he declared, promising that after May 4, the BJP government will hold these goons accountable.

During his speech, PM Modi also announced initiatives for women if the BJP comes to power. He assured that Bengal’s sisters would no longer need to delay medical treatment, as the government would provide free treatment up to five lakh rupees. Medicines would be available at 80% discount at Jan Aushadhi Kendras. Free screenings and vaccinations for breast and cervical cancer would also be offered. Additionally, financial assistance of 21,000 rupees during pregnancy and 50,000 rupees for daughters’ graduation would be provided.

A massive crowd gathered to hear PM Modi speak. Many locals expressed their belief that change is necessary in Bengal. Amit, a local, noted the overwhelming turnout at the rally, stating, “This time, there will be a change.” He emphasized that PM Modi has highlighted the situation in Bengal and stressed the need to change the system for women’s safety. He believes the atmosphere is favorable for the BJP, predicting a BJP government soon.

Shreya Yadav shared her experience of 15 years under TMC rule, stating, “Now we need change; we want a BJP government this time.” Another attendee expressed concern over widespread corruption, saying, “Nothing gets done in government offices without bribery. This time, we will raise the flag of Jai Shri Ram.”
