Pawan Khera Criticizes RSS Over Rehan Vadras Art Exhibition Controversy

Pawan Khera speaks out against RSS and the governments handling of free expression following the removal of Rehan Vadras artwork.

New Delhi, October 22 (Daily Kiran) : Congress MP Pawan Khera recently addressed the removal of 70 photographs from Rehan Vadra‘s art exhibition, which is the son of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Khera raised concerns about the government’s stance on free expression and criticized the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for its views on women’s rights.

Khera stated that the current administration seems troubled by youth voices, artistic expression, and the freedom to express opinions. He emphasized that whether through poetry, literature, or art, young people are often stifled in their attempts to communicate their feelings.

Having personally viewed the artwork at the exhibition, Khera noted that the pieces did not promote any political party but rather represented the voices of the youth. He accused the government of attempting to silence these expressions, likening the RSS’s mentality to that of colonial rulers.

In response to RSS leader Ram Lal’s remarks dismissing Rahul Gandhi’s comments on women’s respect within the organization, Khera suggested that Ram Lal review previous statements made by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Khera highlighted Bhagwat’s past comments advocating for women to remain within the confines of their homes and promoting traditional family structures. He expressed willingness to share relevant videos to clarify the truth behind these statements.

Khera also addressed the BJP’s allegations linking Rahul Gandhi’s Vietnam visit to political maneuvering, dismissing such claims as absurd and indicative of the party’s lack of substantial issues to discuss. He mentioned the connections between BJP leaders and organizations funded by George Soros, urging the government to take action if any wrongdoing was found.

On the topic of a recent data leak affecting 375,000 customers of the State Bank of India (SBI), Khera stressed the importance of transparency and accountability. He called on SBI to inform affected customers about the specifics of the data breach and the measures being implemented to prevent future incidents.

Lastly, Khera extended his best wishes for the upcoming release of Sonia Gandhi’s book, describing it as not just a publication but a testament to her emotional journey in India since the 1960s. He emphasized that despite facing numerous challenges, her commitment to the nation has remained steadfast, encouraging everyone to read her book for valuable insights.
