Pakistan Opts to Bowl First Against Sri Lanka in Triangular ODI Series Final
Pakistan wins the toss and chooses to bowl first against Sri Lanka in the ODI series final, with Shadab Khan missing due to illness.

Lahore, October 31 (Daily Kiran) : Pakistan has won the toss and elected to bowl first against Sri Lanka in the final of the triangular ODI series, taking place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Captain Shaheen Afridi expressed confidence in the decision, citing the potential impact of dew later in the match.
Afridi stated, “We believe it will get dewy later. We have four fast bowlers, and we want to make use of the pitch early on.” The absence of Shadab Khan, who is unwell, is a significant blow for the team. Shadab previously made headlines by scoring a historic century against England in this tournament, and his absence weakens both the batting and bowling line-up. Fahim Ashraf has been brought in as his replacement.
Sri Lanka’s captain, Kusal Mendis, shared his team’s strategy, saying, “We were prepared to bat first. Everyone knows how to approach the first innings. The pitch looks much better compared to previous matches. We have a lot of faith in our team, and the players are performing well in every situation.” He also noted that Ehsan Mani is not playing, while Mahesh Tikshana is included in the playing XI.
Both teams have impressed throughout the tournament, setting the stage for an exciting match.
