Bhubaneswar, February 5: The Odisha government has announced a significant reshuffle of senior IAS officers, implementing changes in key departments. The notification regarding these changes was released on Thursday and is effective immediately.
According to the notification, Devaranjan Kumar Singh will continue as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Steel and Mines Department. Surendra Kumar has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary for the Department of General Administration and Public Grievances, while also overseeing Parliamentary Affairs.
Additionally, Bishnupada Sethi has been appointed as the Chairman of the Odisha Forest Development Corporation and will also serve as the Chief Administrator for KBK. Chitra Arumugam has been given the additional responsibility of Training Coordination Director at the Gopalbandhu Academy of Administration.
Dr. Arvind Kumar Padhi has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary for the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, while also retaining his position as the Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri.
Usha Padhi has been named the Chairperson of the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, while Sanjeev Kumar Mishra has had his additional responsibilities removed.
Suresh Kumar Vasishta has been appointed as the Principal Secretary for the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Shubha Sharma will serve as the Principal Secretary for the Water Resources Department, and NBS Rajput will take on the role of Principal Secretary for Commerce and Transport, along with responsibilities at OSRTC as CMD.
Girish S.N. has been given additional responsibilities as the Chairman of the Odisha Mining Corporation. Dr. Mrinalini Darswal has been appointed as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary for the Women and Child Development Department, while Rajesh Prabhakar Patil has been relieved of his additional duties in the Housing and Urban Development Department.
Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav has been appointed as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary for the Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Department. Rashmita has taken on the role of Vice Chairperson of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority and Managing Director of Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited.
Manasi Nimbhal has been appointed as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary for the Mission Shakti Department. IAS officer Prem Chandra Chaudhary has been given the responsibilities of Commissioner-cum-Secretary for the Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department.
