The funding round was led by Tiger Global, along with support from existing investors GV, Highland Europe, EQT, Latitude, I2BF, and Tapestry. New backers include Qualcomm Ventures and Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of Indian brokerage firm Zerodha.

Rapid Growth and Big Milestones

Carl Pei announced that in just four years, Nothing has shipped “millions of devices,” while surpassing $1 billion in total sales at the start of 2025. The company also recorded 150% growth in 2024, reflecting strong consumer demand across its smartphone and audio product lines.

AI-Native Hardware Coming in 2025

Looking ahead, Pei said Nothing’s next chapter will focus on integrating artificial intelligence into its hardware ecosystem. “To keep up with AI, consumer hardware must reinvent itself. That’s why we will launch some of our first AI-native devices next year,” he posted on X.

The Future of Personalised Operating Systems

Pei also shared the company’s vision for a new type of operating system—one that is highly personalized, contextual, and proactive. Unlike today’s uniform platforms, he envisions “a billion operating systems for a billion different people,” tailored to individual users’ needs.

According to Pei, this OS will begin with smartphones, audio products, and smartwatches, before expanding into smart glasses, humanoid robots, EVs, and future devices. The aim is to build an ecosystem where AI agents execute tasks seamlessly, allowing users to focus on what matters most.

While Nothing has not yet revealed the names of its upcoming AI-native devices, the company is positioning itself as a key player in redefining the AI-driven consumer tech landscape.
