Mumbai, September 18 (Daily Kiran) : Recently, the cast of the beloved television series ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’ held a reunion, bringing back fond memories for fans. Shweta Keswani, one of the show’s stars, shared glimpses of the gathering on Instagram, invoking a wave of nostalgia among viewers.
In the photos, Shweta poses alongside Sakshi Tanwar, who famously portrayed the iconic character Parvati Agarwal. A group shot also features other cast members, including Shweta Kawatra, Manav Gohil, and Gautam Chaturvedi.
Reflecting on the occasion, Shweta wrote, “At my home in Mumbai, just like the old days. Time flies so quickly, yet we pick up right where we left off.”
Originally airing from October 16, 2000, to October 9, 2008, ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’ became a significant part of Indian television’s daily soap era, focusing on the lives of Parvati and Om Agarwal and their large Marwari joint family.
Created by Ekta Kapoor, the show aired on Star Plus and was produced under Balaji Telefilms. It aired during the same period as another popular family drama, ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,’ which premiered in July 2000.
Soon after its debut, ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’ emerged as one of the leading shows on Indian television, achieving cult status in the history of Indian soap operas. Sakshi Tanwar’s portrayal of Parvati Agarwal and Kiran Karmarkar’s role as Om Agarwal were pivotal, while Shweta Keswani’s character Avantika Agarwal became one of the memorable villains in the series, appearing from 2001 to 2003.
Meanwhile, Shweta Kawatra’s character Pallavi also stood out as another significant negative role. However, it is Sakshi Tanwar, as Parvati, who remains one of the most iconic television heroines in India to this day.
