
Noida, June 10: Under the direction of the Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissioner, a special campaign against public drinking is actively underway across the district. On June 9, the Central Noida and Noida Zone police conducted extensive operations, resulting in legal action against 193 individuals.
According to police reports, the Central Noida Zone, supervised by DCP Shailendra Kumar Singh and ADCP Satyendra Kumar Singh, launched a special operation in Sector 63. During this initiative, 66 individuals were found consuming alcohol in public places, leading to action under Section 292 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
In another operation, the Noida Zone police, led by DCP Saad Mia Khan and ADCP Manisha Singh, jointly executed a campaign in Sector 39 and Phase 1. A total of 127 individuals were apprehended for drinking in public, with 75 from Sector 39 and 52 from Phase 1, all facing legal action under IPC Section 292.
Police officials emphasize that consuming alcohol in public not only violates the law but also disrupts social order and impacts the safety and convenience of citizens. To curb such activities, the police are maintaining constant surveillance and conducting special campaigns. The Gautam Budh Nagar Police urge citizens to adhere to the law and avoid public drinking.
The police have made it clear that such campaigns will continue in the future, and strict action will be taken against violators.
