Newland Laboratories Reports 47% Drop in Q2 Profit Amid Revenue Pressure
Newland Laboratories experiences a significant decline in profit and revenue for Q2 of FY 2026-27, reflecting ongoing market challenges.

Hyderabad, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : New Delhi, November 3 — Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical company Newland Laboratories Limited has reported disappointing financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27. The company’s net profit plummeted by approximately 47% year-on-year, falling to ₹51.6 crore compared to ₹96.9 crore during the same quarter last year.
According to a filing with the stock exchange, the company’s operational revenue also faced significant pressure. For the September quarter, revenue decreased by 12.5%, totaling ₹449.7 crore, down from ₹514.2 crore in the previous year’s corresponding period.
The operational profitability of Newland Laboratories saw a notable decline as well. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) dropped by 37.2% to ₹97.6 crore, compared to ₹155.5 crore a year prior.
This pressure on margins is evident in the EBITDA margin, which decreased from 30.2% in the same quarter last year to 21.7% this year. This decline indicates that cost pressures and relatively weak revenue growth have adversely affected the company’s profitability.
