New Delhi, May 10: C. Joseph Vijay, the leader of the TVK party, was congratulated by Rajiv Ranjan, the national spokesperson of JDU, upon taking the oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Ranjan also criticized the Congress for breaking its alliance with the DMK.
In a conversation, Rajiv Ranjan stated, “I extend my best wishes and congratulations to Vijay as he leads the new government. However, he faces numerous challenges. During the DMK’s rule in Tamil Nadu, difficulties escalated, and corruption reached unprecedented levels. The public ousted Stalin’s government due to anti-Hindu rhetoric. Vijay’s administration has the support of several ideologically conflicting parties, so he must proceed with caution.”
Regarding Congress’s decision to break its alliance with the DMK and support TVK, the JDU leader remarked, “Despite years of partnership, Rahul Gandhi severed ties with the DMK for immediate gains. Consequently, Congress has earned a reputation as an opportunistic party. Rahul Gandhi’s immature decisions have caused significant damage to Congress, and this trend will continue.”
On the TMC’s defeat in West Bengal, Rajiv Ranjan commented, “Mamata Banerjee had an opportunity during the elections. However, after missing that chance, forming a paper alliance will yield no results, as Prime Minister Modi has drawn a clear line.”
Regarding the relationship between Congress and DMK, and the support for the new TVK-led government, BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal stated, “Congress has a habit of continuously betraying all its allies. This is not new for them. They fail to secure power, so they cling to anyone who offers it. However, we all saw that Chief Minister Vijay did not even glance at Rahul Gandhi. I am reminded of the saying, ‘Abdullah is crazy at someone else’s wedding.’”
