NDA MPs March in Support of Amit Shah, Target Opposition Over Jharkhand Issue

New Delhi, August 11: In a show of support for Union Home Minister Amit Shah and to protest against the opposition, NDA MPs marched towards the Makardhwaj gate of Parliament on Tuesday. They demanded answers from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding police actions against protesting students in Jharkhand.

BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal stated, “We are ready for any discussion, yet Rahul Gandhi is obstructing it. He repeatedly halts the proceedings of the House, which is why we are marching against him.”

BJP MP Anurag Thakur emphasized, “Justice must be served for the youth of Jharkhand. The way they have been mistreated reflects Rahul Gandhi’s mindset about how his supporters are treating the youth in the state. While he demands answers from the Home Minister, he himself does not attend the House. The Home Minister is ready to respond, but Rahul Gandhi is only making false statements to stay in the limelight.”

The NDA MPs marched within the Parliament complex to protest police actions against students in Jharkhand. Thakur further criticized the Congress party, calling it a “shop of lies.” He accused them of using students for political gain while retreating when it comes to delivering justice.

BJP MP Jagdambika Pal remarked, “Why is the opposition silent about the police’s actions in Ranchi, where they used batons and water cannons? Their silence today exposes them before the nation.”

Central Minister Chirag Paswan pointed out, “The opposition has consistently disrupted the session. Now that the government is ready to discuss every issue, they keep changing the goalposts. One moment they want to raise one issue, and the next they are demanding answers on another. This tendency of the opposition and Rahul Gandhi has severely affected the functioning of the House.”

BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj added, “Rahul Gandhi is responding like an opposition leader in Jharkhand. He avoids accountability. He seems to forget that his party is a partner in the government there. Students do not want statements; they want action.”

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey criticized Rahul Gandhi’s dual character, stating, “His opposition to Modi often aligns him with elements that threaten national integrity. He needs to stop this dual mentality and stand with the students to ensure they receive justice.”

Regarding the violence against students in Jharkhand, BJP MP Ashok Mittal condemned the actions, saying, “Students faced violence and were beaten. Tear gas was used against us inside the assembly complex. This is a shameful act by the government there, fully supported by Congress. The way students were treated is disgraceful. While they maintained a dual approach in Delhi, what has happened now? Students are being charged with batons. I condemn this and want to highlight the true face of Congress. We must protect ourselves and the students from this.”
