Patna, March 16: The political atmosphere in Bihar is heating up ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections. On voting day, leaders from the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan exchanged claims of victory and accusations against each other.
Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, stated confidently to reporters that the NDA will secure all five seats. “There is no doubt about it,” he asserted. He noted that election dates have been announced in several states, and the NDA is expected to form governments in all of them. Singh expressed optimism about the NDA’s strength in Bihar as well.
Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi echoed similar sentiments, asserting that the NDA will win all five seats in Bihar. He questioned the RJD’s claims, stating that if the numbers are not in their favor, how can they claim to win all five seats?
Bihar government minister Santosh Kumar Suman also expressed confidence in the NDA’s victory. He mentioned that all their legislators have cast their votes, ensuring a 100% win. According to him, all five NDA candidates will emerge victorious due to the coalition’s sufficient numbers.
In response to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s statements, Suman remarked that by evening, it would be clear who the winner is, emphasizing that legislators vote based on their judgment without any pressure.
BJP legislator Maithili Thakur shared her excitement about voting for the first time. She noted that there had been several meetings among legislators in the days leading up to the election to ensure a smooth voting process and secure the NDA’s victory. She described the atmosphere in the assembly complex as enthusiastic regarding the voting.
BJP legislators Vinay Bihari, Gayatri Devi, and JD(U) legislator Shyam Rajak also claimed victory for all five NDA candidates. Meanwhile, Bihar government minister Mangal Pandey stated that the results will favor the NDA once the voting process concludes.
