NDA Leaders Celebrate Election Dates Announcement, Promising a Corruption-Free Bengal

New Delhi, March 16: NDA leaders have welcomed the announcement of election dates for the assembly elections in Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and the Union Territory of Puducherry. BJP MP Anurag Thakur expressed his support, stating, “First of all, I welcome the announcement of election dates across all states.” He emphasized that the people of Bengal have long dreamed of a corruption-free administration, one that prevents external encroachment and exploitation.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh noted the weakened position of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Bengal. He asserted, “The TMC goons will be chased and beaten by the people there. The people of Bengal will not allow it to become another Bangladesh.” He also commented on the Election Commission’s transfers of certain officials, stating that the Commission is working to strengthen constitutional institutions.

BJP MP Dinesh Sharma praised the Election Commission’s approach, stating that the elections will be conducted peacefully and democratically. He described the transfers of officials as a normal procedure, commonly seen in every election.

BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana highlighted that the BJP is the world’s largest party, dedicated to the welfare and development of the people. He stressed the country’s progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

MP Arun Govil expressed confidence in the BJP’s performance in Bengal, while Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat predicted a resounding victory for the party, marking a new beginning for the BJP in South India.

BJP MP Kamaljeet Seherawat affirmed that the Election Commission operates as an independent body under established regulations. Rekha Sharma welcomed the decision to hold elections in two phases in West Bengal, noting that the Commission is vigilant against any misconduct.

BJP MP Khagen Murmu expressed strong confidence in the party’s prospects, stating, “We are very confident, and the public is also confident that this time the BJP will form the government. Mamata Banerjee no longer trusts her own party, which is why she announced the DA. Did she not have time all this while? She had time before the code of conduct was implemented. The BJP will form the government in West Bengal, and a double-engine government will emerge, ending the rule of jungle raj.”
